🐟 Meet the Crew

From big ideas to bigger laughs, these underwater friends make every splash count.
Each character in The Adventures of Largemouth Larry brings a unique voice to the pond—whether it’s solving problems, setting the rules, or just making bubbles from laughing too hard. Dive in and meet the full cast!

Largemouth Larry

Species: Largemouth Bass
Role: The enthusiastic leader
Catchphrase: “I’m gonna catch the biggest fish in the pond!”
Larry’s full of ideas (some better than others) and always eager for a new adventure. With a wide mouth and a bigger heart, he’s the glue that holds the crew together—even when his plans go sideways.

Spiney

Species: Northern Pike
Role: The misunderstood outsider
Catchphrase: “Looks
 uh
 creative.”
Long, lean, and a little awkward, Spiney has sharp teeth but a soft side. He’s learning to find his place in the group and often sees what others miss—especially when things start to wobble.

 Penny Perch

Species: Perch
Role: The rule-follower
Catchphrase: “That’s regulation size!”
With her red glasses and trusty clipboard, Penny makes sure everything stays fair, square, and according to pond law. She’s smart, serious, and secretly loves Larry’s silly side—though she’d never admit it.

Swampy Sue

Species: Grass Carp
Role: The gentle giant
Catchphrase: “Everything grows with a little love.”
Sue is calm, wise, and plant-powered. She’s the heart of the swamp and always knows how to bring balance. If something’s tangled or out of tune, Sue’s the one who helps nature find its rhythm again.

Catfish Carl

Species: Catfish
Role: The gruff old-timer
Catchphrase: “Wake me when it’s lunchtime.”
Carl likes mud, naps, and telling it like it is. He’s got two long whiskers and one-liners for days. He might seem grumpy, but deep down, he’s as loyal as they come.

Echo-Coming soon from Deaf/Hard-of-hearing Artists!

Species: Bluegill
Role: The Deaf visual thinker
Catchphrase: (Signs something with a smile)
Echo doesn’t talk the way most fish do—but that’s part of what makes them special. They use sign language, observe everything, and help the pond crew find new ways to understand each other. Echo proves that listening isn’t always about ears.

Crickette

Species: Crappie
Role: The shy artist
Catchphrase: (Softly hums a tune)
Crickette is quiet, creative, and full of surprises. With her fins always tapping out rhythms, she brings a musical spark to the crew—even if it takes a little courage to let it out.

Samson

Species: Smallmouth Bass
Role: The tough protector
Catchphrase: “You wanna go?”
Samson’s built like a boulder with a temper to match. But once you get past his grumbles, he’s the crew’s biggest defender. Loyal to a fault, strong to the core—and slowly learning to talk it out instead of tackle first.

Watcher

Species: Walleye
Role: The quiet guide
Catchphrase: (Just nods, knowingly)
Watcher doesn’t say much, but when he does, you’d better listen. With glowing eyes and a calm presence, he helps the crew through dark waters—literally. A steady light in the night.

Riff

Species: Muskellunge (Muskie)
Role: The loud legend
Catchphrase: “Let’s make some noise!”
Riff is bold, flashy, and definitely the loudest fish in the pond. Whether he's telling tales or strumming on lily-stem guitars, he’s got rockstar energy and a heart that beats to his own rhythm. He might steal the spotlight, but he’ll always share the stage.

Min

Species: Minnow
Role: The tiny helper
Catchphrase: “I can squeeze through!”
Small but speedy, Min zips around the pond solving problems nobody else can reach. Don’t let her size fool you—she’s got grit, brains, and bravery to spare. When the crew needs someone to slip through the cracks or find a hidden path, Min’s their secret weapon.
